Keith from KM Electrical had installed the lighting in an indoor pool project for another client Spencer Builders. They wanted to show the lighting installed in the pool at it’s best. I chose to shoot at dusk, giving some ambient light, to give atmosphere, together with ‘enough dark’ to show the lights at their best.
The challenge here was that with a 2 degree external temperature, and a 30 degree internal, the cameras needed acclimatising before shooting, as for half an hour they would just get steamed up. And then afterwards, a period in warm but dry surrounding to make sure that they were absolutely dry.
A new 8mm Canon lens gave some great wide angled shots of the pool.
The project has now been featured in several magazines, and websites for trade, and home design.
