While there has been a great deal of confusion in the press about the Heartbleed bug in the last few days, there have been no specific instructions from the hosts our clients use on any action to take, and indeed some reports are suggesting waiting to reset passwords, as doing it before fixes are in place may reveal old and new passwords.
Only sites with SSL encryption are at risk, and sites without sensitive data are low risk.
Some site owners may have had notifications from Jetpack of necessary upgrades. No sites designed and developed by us use this plugin, and while it may be installed, it is not activated.
Key Website Owner Action – Check your website is operational, and all elements function correctly. Do this on a daily basis. If any malfunctions occur, let us know immediately, and it can be rectified.
